President, National Wind and Trishe Wind Energy

Renewable energy is the best way of producing energy in harmony with and for the benefit of the communities wind projects are located in. It is a humbling experience to be part of a successful project completion. For me there are few pleasures greater than to successfully complete a projects bringing together seemingly opposed interests of suppliers, utilities, governments, financiers and environmentalists.

When I am not spending time with my wife and children, I love to travel and enjoy participating in a wide range of sports including tennis, badminton, sailing, motor sports and golf. I unwind by reading, painting and listening to music preferably together with a glass of wine.

Will Cooksey2 Team

Wind Developer and Project Counsel

As a developer of wind projects, I work closely with our member representatives and landowners, as well as with local governments and regulatory agencies. I draw significantly from my studies at the University of Oregon School of Law, where I earned a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources in addition to my law degree.

On a personal note, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay, working on large and small scale health and environment projects including a community-wide running water system. I enjoy cycling with the Twin Cities Bicycling Club, canoeing in the Boundary Waters and cross country skiing in the winter.

Controller/Human Resources

As a new member to the wind industry, I am proud to be working for an organization that is making a positive impact on our environment. I wear many hats here at National Wind and I enjoy the variety my position offers.Outside of my career with National Wind, I enjoy being able to spend significant time with family. I am married and have two grown children. My newest role is Grandma and I jump at the chance to spend time with my granddaughter. I live in the Chisago Lakes area where I was born and raised. I consider myself a small town gal but get my “big city” fix from working in Minneapolis. It is important to me to make time for family and friends and I enjoy balancing that with my career at National Wind.

Field Representative – Northwest Ohio Wind Energy

Being a Field Specialist in the wind industry has its challenges. You are that main contact between your company and the community. It is very important to me to help the community understand the steps of how a wind farm is constructed, the financial benefits that are available for the landowners, and the additional tax revenues that a wind farm will bring into rural areas that otherwise have a hard time attracting new industry. You in fact become a part of that community.
